A big ‘AsSalaamu ‘Alaykum Wa Rahamtullahi Wa Barakaatuhu’ going out to one and all =)
Yes, you read it right – 1Eid needs you!
Do you want to earn the pleasure of your Lord by racing towards good deeds? Do you want to help your fellow Brothers and Sisters by organising an Eid they won’t forget? How about wanting to be part of helping to host a single mass Eid prayer…followed by a spectacular day of festivities for families, individuals, young and old alike? Or even just being able to tell your great great grandchildren that you where one of those who helped change the face of Eid in the UK?!?!?!!?!?
Well, you’re reading the right SITE! We’re looking for people from all backgrounds to volunteer and be part of this fun-filled day. The only requirement we ask for this you’re sincere and dedicated to this wonderful project…not for our sake but for Allah subhana wa ta’aala and to share in the epic reward of reviving an all but lost Sunnah and uniting the community of Muslims on a day meant for nothing other than unity.
This is our Eid brothers and sisters - an occasion we need to reclaim, cherish and play out in style! We request every single brother and sister reading to become involved in whichever great or small way possible. Any ideas you have for the day are invaluable to us and any aspects you wish to co-ordinate are equally greatly appreciated. We need your assistance; every drop raises the ocean - and the Barakah of this ocean is sublime.

The fuel that pumps our volunteers are:
1. To revive the Sunnah of our beloved prophet by taking the Eid prayer outside of the Masjid, open to every Muslim, young and old, rich or poor, man our women. We wish to revive the forgotten Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) and celebrate Eid the way he celebrated it.
2. To unite the Muslims on the day of Eid, of all backgrounds and ethnicities, building relations in the community with one another, showing we are one Ummah in front of Allah on His day.
Alhamdulillah, last October saw the launch of 1Eid, an attempt to bring Eid to life for the Muslims in London. We witnessed up to 12, 000 people attending the magnificent Eid prayer and celebrations which spun over two days. Never before in the history of London had we seen such an event unfold!
The brothers and sisters who attended this amazing event are now part of history…and we hope all of you will be too!
InshaAllah we hope, with the help of the Muslim Ummah, to continue for years to come in making Eid progressively bigger and better. We are anticipating greater crowds for the next coming Eid and we need your help to make your Eid happen again.
I think you’ll agree that an event of this magnitude requires manpower, commitment and enthusiasm of an even greater size from all people able to offer their huge variety of talents and skills. We especially need people who have special skills in the following fields:
Project Managers – to help with sponsorship and planning on the major day. This particular role requires good networking skills as we need 1Eid representative that will help promote 1Eid.
Video Editors - who can make exciting and creative adverts about 1Eid.
Along with loads and loads of volunteers for the major day too!
